Because I am a librarian, I’m always intrigued about library success stories. This story was brought to my attention, so wanted to share it with you today.
It is the story of a rural Colombian librarian, Luis Soriano, and his “extra-ordinary” library service. PBS’s documentary series POV (Point of View) has created an hour-long special about Luis and his “library on hooves”. The program airs nationally tonight on your local PBS channel. Described as “heartwarming yet unsentimental,” PBS is presenting Biblioburro: The Donkey Library in conjunction with Latino Public Broadcasting.
