ReachMD is airing the program “Health Literacy: The Importance of Effective Communications in Medicine” which discusses how miscommunication in medicine can lead to confusion or serious health consequences, and how physicians and health plans can effectively engage with patients to improve outcomes.  Approximately 12 minutes long, the XM Satellite Radio program interviews Matthew Wynia, MD, MPH, director of the Institute of Ethics at the American Medical Association, and Ruth Parker, MD, professor of medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine and epidemiologist at the Emory University School of Public Health.”
