I found the following post on the HealthLiteracy listserv regarding a new workshop which has been developed. The program was developed in collaboration between the Minnesota Health Literacy Partnership
the University of Minnesota Health Sciences Libraries.
“The HeLP MN Seniors workshops were developed to help older adults communicate with their health care providers and find accurate online health information. The workshops will be available for use by anyone interested in improving the health of older adults with good information. We believe that these materials can easily be used with other audiences as well. ”
Check out the website www.healthliteracymn.org for information about the HeLP MN Seniors program. It serves as a great model for developing other programs. BRAVO for this collaborative project!
